O que querem as mulheres? A clássica pergunta de Freud não vale para José Serra. Todos sabem a resposta: ele só pensa naquilo. Mas 2010 ainda está longe, felizmente para Serra, porque seu governo começou de forma bastante decepcionante. Ou seria melhor dizer sintomática? A crise da USP é o melhor exemplo.
O governo meteu os pés pelas mãos. Após nomear para a nova Secretaria do Ensino Superior este que é, no meio universitário, uma unanimidade às avessas, quis ainda transformar José Aristodemo Pinotti no presidente de conselho de reitores. Pegou tão mal, que Serra desistiu do seu interventor branco.
O recuo, no entanto, não desfaz a sensação de que pretendia enquadrar as universidades – este é o sentido geral implícito no conjunto dos decretos contra o qual se rebelaram os estudantes que estão na reitoria.
Obrigado a vir a público, o governador Serra tergiversa, desconversa, age reiteradamente de forma oblíqua. Ora parece pouco seguro de seus propósitos, ora dá a impressão de querer engambelar a platéia.
O fato é que se negou, até aqui, a rever o decreto mias polêmico, que submete à aprovação da Secretaria da Fazenda o remanejamento de verbas da universidade. Por quê?
Está em curso uma campanha de demonização dos estudantes – retrógados, baderneiros, urram, histéricos, os arautos do novo “Estado de direita”. Há insuficiência, eventuais exageros na posição estudantil? Claro que sim. Mas são menores, bem menos nocivos que a batatada patrocinada pelo Estado, cujos erros, esses sim crassos, aparecem sob a forma de “deslizes”, “mal-entendidos”. Onde está a ideologia dominante da nossa época?
Serra foi visto há poucos dias numa imagem bizarra, empunhando um trabuco, quando visitava a polícia. Os estudantes estão certos ao espalhar a reprodução da foto pelas barricadas em torno da reitoria. Áulicos incitam o tucano para que a tropa de choque entre em ação. A depender do desfecho da crise, a gestão Serra já terá produzido a sua fotografia para a posteridade.

O texto de Fernando de Barros não é apenas uma matéria da Folha, é um editorial. Tem força jornalística e expressa uma opinião de dentro do jornal. Não é a opinião “do” jornal como um todo. Em tese, um jornal (que se diga imaparcial e democrático) jamais deve ter apenas uma única e indesviável direção, é preciso abarcar as diferentes visões para se garantir um quadro crítico (também não se deve ser omisso e cego a tudo) e garantir uma discussão adulta e abrangente.
Ainda que exista uma certa lacuna entre esse plano ideal da ética jornalística e o que de fato vemos na mídia em geral, sinto-me bastante reconfortada que ao menos tenha-se começado a dar algum espaço outros ângulos de visão. E mais: para uma opinião não apenas diferente do que se tem observado, mas também bastante ferrenha em sua crítica ao governo.
Até aqui, os alunos da Universidade de São Paulo, têm sido atacados sem qualquer misericórdia por textos midiáticos (especialmente a direitíssima Veja) que se referem ao movimento como “pequeno bando” , “arruaceiros”, “grupelho”, “baderneiros” ; agora pode-se começar a colocar novos pesoas nesta injusta balança da notícia.
Me apresento aqui, antes de fazer meu comentario, sou prof da Poli-Eletrica há 18 anos. É interessante ver comentários inteligentes como o do Fernando Barros e Silva, e cito também o editorial da Folha de S. Paulo de Sábado, como exemplos. O movimento estudantil comete erros e exageros, mas há alguma virtude na imprudência, pelo menos nesse caso. Enquanto a academia se preocupou calada com a interferência inconstitucional na Universidade, os estudantes conseguiram atrair os olhares da imprensa, e quem sabe, conseguirão alguma mudança positiva na redação desses descretos…
